Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Orchid Mania now open

The Cleveland Botanical Garden celebrates one of the world’s most exotic and beautiful flowers at its annual Orchid Mania show, opening Saturday, January 26 and running through Sunday, March 10. More than three thousand orchid flowers in every shape, size, scent and color will fill the halls of the Botanical Garden, creating exotic and alluring encounters to warm your winter. Get up close to examine their beautiful, intricate details and learn how their special features helped them become one of the longest-lived plant groups on Earth.
Orchid Mania highlights include:
Fashion Meets the
Botanicals
Orchid Mania will include botanically-inspired
dress designs developed exclusively for the show by students from the Kent
State University Fashion School. The dresses will be on display through March 9.
Ask the Orchid Doctor
On Saturdays, February 2, 9 and 23 from 2 - 3pm, Saturday,
February 16 at noon and 2pm and Sunday, February 17 at 1pm and 2:30pm, experts
will be on hand to help with questions about growing orchids in the home. Bring
in your orchid for a diagnosis.
Greater Cleveland
Orchid Society Show and Sale

The Greater Cleveland Orchid Society, the oldest affiliate of
the American Orchid Society, hosts the annual show and sale. Special workshops
and tours are scheduled throughout both days.
Orchids After Dark
Guests can mingle after hours
among thousands of blooming orchids and enjoy adult beverages and snacks from
the Garden Cafe.
Guren Art Gallery Exhibit
Local artist Gunter Schwegler
will display beautiful silk paintings in his exhibit in the Botanical Garden’s
Guren Art Gallery.

Orchid Mania tickets are available online, at the Botanical Garden ticket desk or by calling 216-721-1600, ext. 100. Advance ticket purchase is not required. The Botanical Garden is located at 11030 East Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio. Heated indoor parking is available for a fee, based on availability.
