Walk to Remember returns for 14th year at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Hospice of the Western Reserve invites families, friends and supporters to join together for the 14th annual Walk to Remember, happening on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.  This cherished event offers a meaningful way to celebrate life, honor the memory of loved ones, and support care that provides comfort and dignity for those facing serious illness.

Held yearly as a tribute to those who have passed away, the Walk to Remember is a time for reflection, healing and community.  Participants walk in memory of someone special while supporting compassionate care for patients and families across northern Ohio.

“Each year, the Walk to Remember brings thousands of people together in a powerful display of love and shared humanity,” said Bill Finn, president and CEO of Hospice of the Western Reserve.  “Whether you’re walking in memory of someone close to you or simply to support the cause, you’re helping us extend comfort, dignity and support to people when they need it most.”

Walkers may choose a one-mile route or take a longer stroll through the zoo at their own pace.  The $30 registration fee includes full-day zoo admission and a special commemorative gift.  Wristbands, required for entry, will be distributed at check-in.

Proceeds from the Walk to Remember help fund nearly $13 million in unreimbursed care and services provided each year by Hospice of the Western Reserve—programs that ensure no one faces serious illness or loss alone.

Registration is now open.  To sign up as an individual or team, become a sponsor, or make a donation in honor of a loved one, please visit HospiceWR.org/wtr or call 888.506.2550.
